For first time players, Party Poker welcomes you by matching your initial deposit, up to an additional 500 units of the currency you deposit in. We are writing currencies on purpose, and explain you why underneath. You can deposit in the following currencies:

- Canadian Dollars
- Euros
- British Pounds
How to get $777 Bonus
Now this isn’t generally known to the poker community, as even Party Poker themselves tell you that their bonus is in U.S. Dollars, but this is why we are here, to provide you with the inside information and advice you need so you will receive a higher Party Poker bonus than the normal $500! If you know anything about currencies, you know that one unit of one currency isn’t the same thing as another. So for instance 500 U.S. dollars (USD) and 500 British Pounds (GBP) isn’t the same thing. At the time of this writing, 500 GBP is equal to 777 USD. So if you deposit in GBP you can get yourself an even bigger bonus if you are depositing the maximum.
What if you aren’t from the U.K.?
That doesn’t make any difference, in fact most of the Party Poker deposits are in USD and they haven’t allowed players from the U.S. to play there for several years now. People can deposit in any of these currencies and whatever currency your money is, it will just automatically be converted.
What about if you have less than the 500 maximum to deposit?
At first glance, it wouldn’t really seem to matter then, but the twist here is that the amount of points needed to free up a given amount of bonus money differs by currency. I’ve worked out all the math here and I don’t want to bore you with that but here’s what I mean. You need 6 Party Points to collect every USD of bonus money, and 9 Party Points to release 1 GBP of bonus money.
So if you collect 9 Party Points, you’ve freed up 1.50 USD, or 1 GBP, which is worth 1.77 USD. So 1.77 USD is obviously more bonus money freed up than 1.50 USD. So this means that every Party Point collected earns more bonus cash, and you’ll also free it all up faster. Plus, if for some reason, you don’t play enough to collect it all, you’ll collect more money by using GBP. I’ve worked this out for all the currencies and the one that delivers your money faster, in addition to delivering the highest possible bonus amount, is British Pounds.
So regardless of your circumstances, meaning how much or how little you have to start out with, or where you live, you should in all cases choose GBP as the currency you deposit in. It’s all about getting the most value for your money, and even though Party Poker doesn’t officially tell you about these distinctions and the benefits of choosing the ideal Party Poker deposit currency, that’s what we’re here for.
All you need to do is click on one of our special links to Party Poker and fill in Party Poker bonus code SKYHIGH when you sign up. Then you will automatically entitled to their matching initial deposit in the currency of your choise, with up to an additional 500 of the currency you choose. To select the currency, all you have to do is to select it in the drop down you will get once you make your deposit. While we strongly recommend GBP, whichever you pick is up to you.
How to Clear the Party Poker Bonus
I’ve mentioned that you need to collect 6 Party Points for every U.S. Dollar in bonus money that you are looking to cash in, and 9 Party Points for every British Pound in bonus money, but what does this all mean? Well for every dollar in rake that is collected at a table in which you are dealt cards at, 2 Party Points are awarded. These points are split equally among all the players at the table, whether or not you actually put money in the pot or not.
So the first thing that should stand out here is that if you’re at least a decent player, and I’m sure you are or you wouldn’t be reading this, by not playing loose and crazy and folding most hands, you’ll be letting the fish earn most of your Party Points for you. Many poker sites calculate your points based on what you contribute to the rake directly, and if you’re tighter, this ends up seeing you take a lot longer to free up your bonus than if things were set up the way Party Poker does it.
Many players, especially newer ones, just look at the bonus amounts when they look to decide which bonus offers they want to take advantage of. How hard or easy it is to cash in on these bonuses is at least as important, and in my opinion it’s even more important, since being promised bonus money does you no good if you can’t collect all of it, or in some cases, any of it.
Party Poker has been offering bonuses for a great many years, and they fully understand that offering players bonuses that are difficult to get just makes players upset, and this isn’t going to convince them to continue to play there, as is the goal with welcome bonuses. So while you do have to play a decent amount to get the whole thing, Party Poker does make it pretty easy for you, especially compared to the other bonus deals out there.
I Know You Don’t Like To Wait To Get Paid, And Party Poker Doesn’t Want You To
At one time, it used to be that poker sites would make you wait until you freed up the entire bonus amount before you got to see a cent. Not only that, but given that there is always a limited amount of time to collect all the points you need to free up your entire bonus, many players ended up walking away with nothing.
There are plenty of bonus deals still out there like this, and even some that unless you’re a pretty active player, you don’t have a chance seeing any money from them. In my opinion this is a very foolish way for a poker site to run a bonus program, but some of them simply don’t care about the smaller players, and if they get mad and leave because they feel they got bamboozled, well too bad, and they are not seen as any big loss. The poker site has saved themselves bonus money and that’s what they care about.
Party Poker, on the other hand, cares about all of their players, even the ones with only $10 or $20 to deposit. The first thing that they’ve done is not penalize players for playing the small stakes. With some bonus deals, they have it so you don’t earn any bonus points at all unless you’re playing $50 or $100 no limit or whatever. This is of course ridiculous and it ends up screwing all but the biggest depositors. At Party Poker, every raked hand counts regardless of the stake.
Another trick that some poker rooms play on you is to take an all or nothing approach to the bonus, as I mentioned earlier. So in other words if you don’t earn enough points to collect it all during the limited time you have, then too bad, you get nothing. Some other deals pay you out in thirds or quarters, which at least better.
Party Poker breaks your bonus up into tenths, so if you deposit 20 units, and are then entitled to receiving a total of 20 units of bonus money, you get paid every time you get enough points for just 2 units. So there is a total of 10 separate paydays, and you have a full 60 days to collect it all.
The Party Poker Bonus Is Both Generous and Fair
As you can see, all poker bonuses are not created equally. The Party Poker bonus is definitely one of the best in the business. You do need to realize though that poker bonuses are just that, bonuses for playing at a given poker site. What’s far more important is the quality of the site itself. In particular, what matters the most about bonus offers isn’t the offer itself, it’s how good of a poker site it is, especially how easy or difficult it is to make money at it.
It does you no good to shoot for a bonus at a certain poker site and the games are tough enough for you to go broke before you collect it. Or, you do collect a little of it then lose that plus your original deposit as well. In both cases, the end result is that you are out your whole deposit without a thing to show for it.
Party Poker, on the other hand, isn’t just a great poker site, it’s also among the easiest places to make money at. The players at Party Poker are famously soft, and there are tons of these kind of players, so the chances of you making a profit at the tables in addition to the bonus money they give you is as high as it gets.
So if you’re new to poker, or have played before but have never had an account at Party Poker before, you definitely owe it to yourself to give this wonderful poker site a try. That’s just not my opinion, it’s also the opinion of millions of online poker players who have played there over the years. Just click on our link to them and you’re on your way to what is truly the best party in online poker.
