Party poker is once again offering lucky and skilled poker players prize packages to one of the most popular poker tournaments on the globe—Aussie Millions. Aussie Millions started eight years ago in 2004 and has grown into the major poker event Down Under.
The Main Event at the initial Aussie Millions, which was and is still held in Melbourne, did not offer a grand prize of a million. The big prize was $426,500 and there were just 133 entrants in the Main Event. The next year, the Main Event offered $1 million to the winner as 263 competed for the award.
Bigger Numbers and More Money
Then in 2007 for the first time the Main Event topped the 700 mark for participants and the prize went to $1.5 million. In the past five years, an average of about 720 poker players have competed in the big game and in the past three the grand prize has stood at $2 million.
Party poker members are lucky to have a direct link to Aussie Millions prize packages that total $16,000 each. Those packages include the $11,400 buy-in to the Main Event, eight nights at the Crown Promenade Hotel, which sits next to the tournament venue, the Crown Casino, and $2,500 in cash that you can spend in any way you’d care to.
How to Get to Aussie Millions
Party poker is giving players numerous ways to win one the Aussie Millions prize packages. There are plenty of freerolls that will help get you top the Main Event. They do not cost one cent and they are held every day. The top 25 players get to go to the next step as they are awarded $2 sub-qualifier speed rebuy event seats.
The point is to win a seat at the $640+$40 Aussie Millions Satellite. This is where poker players can win one of the $16,000 prize packages. How many will win? One in 15 players or about 7% of participants will find themselves with entry into the Main Event at Aussie Millions.
Party poker Bankroll Booster
Of course the freeroll route can be extremely crowded and difficult to navigate. Instead of taking that path, players can always buy-in to the Aussie Millions Satellite for a total of $680. But not everyone has that much cash to spend on one event.
There’s good news as Party poker is offering its Bankroll Booster to players. These tournaments, which are held every Sunday at 19:30 GMT, are free. Each carries a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000. Boost your bankroll through one of these events and you may be able to afford the buy-in to the Aussie Millions Satellite or to some high stakes games where you can score some big cash. However you do have to qualify to play in a Bankroll Booster event.
