Why to Play Tournaments at Party Poker
Party Poker has always had a great assortment of poker tournaments, but they once again stand alone when you look at things from a perspective of quality. It’s not just a matter of a poker site offering a lot of variety here, which Party Poker definitely does, it’s a matter of how profitable the poker site’s tournaments are. If you care about how much money you win our lose, this is by far the most important thing. If you just want to blow off a bunch of money, well it’s not going to matter where you play as you can do that at any poker site.

Tournament Qualifiers
In terms of selection, not only are the tournaments easier to make money at, Party Poker also offers everything a tournament poker player could possibly want, from a seat at the World Series of Poker, or a World Poker Tour event, to their Summer Million tournament, to their weekly $200K guaranteed tournament, to an extensive variety of large, medium, and small buy in multi table tournaments, including many which are less than a dollar, and many that don’t even require a buy in but offer cash prizes and free entries to bigger tournaments.
Party Poker Freerolls
Party Poker offers an extensive amount of freeroll tournaments, including several daily regional championships which are limited to residents of certain parts of the world. In all, they offer their players a total of $100,000 in freerolls every month. They also offer their new players free seats at their weekly $1500 freeroll, which is restricted to players who have opened an account within the last 60 days, so the fields are small which means a lot better chance for you to take down some serious cash.
I’ve calculated the value of these tournaments at about $7 a piece, meaning with that large prize pool and the amount of players involved that’s what the entry is worth. Given that you are eligible to play in a total of 9 of these, that’s over $60 of value that they give you on top of your initial deposit bonus, which is nice indeed.
Party Poker Sit n’ Go Tournaments
Party Poker also has a very nice assortment of sit n’go tournaments, with pretty much every type imaginable, at buy in levels ranging from $1 all the way up to $5010. Party Poker offers single and multi-table sit n’go’s, along with qualifiers, steps tournaments, and even their exciting Hellkat variation, where the action can truly get fast and furious. There are three different blind escalation speeds to choose from, which are regular, turbo, and speed. There are plenty of sit n’go’s to satisfy all buy in preferences, and overall, no matter what your preferences are here, Party Poker has them for you.
Tournament Fees
The best thing by far though with Party Poker’s tournaments is that they have stopped charging fees for all of their tournaments. This is a huge deal and a lot bigger than most players can even imagine. Consider this: You would think that in order to make a profit playing poker, you’d only have to be an above average player. In other words, among 10 players, 5 should make money and 5 should lose. In reality, only 1 player on average makes a profit and the other 9 lose, and it’s because of rake and fees. You have to be good enough to make enough of a profit to cover these fees.
With Party not charging tournament fees, now all you have to do is be among the top 50% to make a profit. That means, for every $1000 in tournaments you play, Party Poker doesn’t charge you the extra $100 that every other poker site does. That goes right to your profit. This is an absolutely incredible benefit. I know many players who make a good living just breaking even at tournaments and getting about ¼ of their tournament fees back. Party Poker doesn’t just give it all back, they don’t even charge it in the first place. If you like tournaments, it would be insane to play anywhere else in fact.
